After a nice relaxing couple of days at Mission Beach, we arrived in Cairns yesterday to wet weather! Fortunately it hasn't rained today. The temperature ranged from 24deg in the caravan this morning to 28 maximum. Hardly cold! We have walked around the city area and done some shopping - the markets were full of stalls of fresh vegies and tropical fruits at very reasonable prices so we have stocked up. The pineapples, melons and bananas here are very tasty.

Tomorrow we are off to church where we will meet up with some people we know from Perth, and Monday we are hoping to go on the railway and skyrail up to Kuranda and back. Our next port of call when we leave here will be Cooktown via Port Douglas. EF
